God's Mission, Your Purpose: A Study Through the Books of Joshua & Acts

God has always had one mission: to fill the earth with His glory through a people who love and obey Him. That mission began in Eden, advanced through Abraham, was renewed under Moses, and pressed forward through Joshua into the Promised Land. And now, through the risen Christ, the greater Moses and the true and better Joshua, His mission continues, not with swords, but with the Gospel of the Kingdom.

This 12-week study will journey through the books of Joshua and Acts in parallel, tracing the covenantal continuity between God’s call to Israel and Christ’s commission to the church. Just as Joshua led Israel to take possession of the land by faith and obedience, so the ascended Christ leads His Spirit-empowered church to disciple the nations and claim the inheritance promised to Abraham.

You will see:

- Christ as the greater Joshua, who brings about a new creation and conquers not by force, but by His Word and Spirit.

- The church as the greater Israel, commissioned to extend the boundaries of God’s kingdom to the ends of the earth.

- The mission of God, spanning from the Jordan River to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth.

This study is more than historical reflection. It is a personal call to action. You were not redeemed to be passive. You were saved to walk in God’s purpose, courageously advancing His Kingdom where He has placed you. This is your inheritance - not just to believe the Gospel, but to carry it forward with boldness, joy, and obedience.
